Boxing Drills and Punching Combinations

Can be performed with bag gloves and focus mitts or else with both wearing boxing gloves:

1) Coach (Feeder) delivers Lead Straight Punch (Jab): Boxer catches or slap-parries the punch with his / her right hand and then returns a Lead Jab / Rear Cross / Lead Hook combination.

2) Coach delivers Rear Straight Punch (Cross): Boxer rolls away from the punch and deflects it to his inside using his / her lead hand / forearm and then returns Cross / Lead Hook / Cross combination.

3) Coach delivers Lead Hook: Boxer uses a bent-arm Shield using his / her rear arm and then returns Lead Hook / Cross / Lead Hook combination.

4) Coach delivers Lead Straight Punch (Jab): Boxer catches or slap-parries the punch with his or her right hand and then returns a Jab of his/her own. Coach immediately delivers a wide swinging Lead (front) Hand Hook punch: Boxer bobs and weaves underneath and immediately returns Cross / Lead Hook / Cross combination.

5) Coach delivers a Jab / Cross combination: Boxer catches or slap-parries the Jab, slips to the outside of the Cross, whilst also parrying it with his / her lead hand, and simultaneously delivers a Cross into the Coaches stomach, followed by a Lead Uppercut / Cross / Lead Hook combination.

6) Coach delivers a Jab / Rear Hook combination: Boxer catches or slap-parries the Jab and bobs and weaves under the Hook, delivering his / her own Rear Hook to the body on the way through. This is followed up by Double Lead Hook (body & head), and then Cross / Lead Uppercut / Cross combination.

7) Coach delivers a Jab / Lead Hook combination: Boxer catches or slap-parries the Jab and bobs and weaves under the Hook, delivering his / her own Lead Hook to the body on the way through. This is followed up by an Overhead Right, a Lead Uppercut and then a Cross / Hook / Cross combination.

8) Coach delivers a Jab to the face and a two Shovel Hooks to the body, Lead then Rear: Boxer then catches or slap-parries the Jab and Shields against both body punches with bent arms tucked in. He / she then returns a Rear Uppercut / Lead Uppercut / Cross combination.
