Academy Instructors at Weapons Festival

Instructors Ollie Batts, Julie
Gabriel and Morgan Alexander were invited to take part in the
O Yama Ryu Goshin Jitsu Weapons Festival in Gorleston, Norfolk,
in May.
During the day, Ollie introduced
participants to his recently developed Zubo™ tool.This is
a small palm stick which can be used for striking and the application
of locks and holds - especially useful for control and restraint
purposes.
Julie and Morgan taught skills
from the french cane fighting art - canne de combat.
Canne de combat is a competitive
sport; the next world championships are due to be held in Germany
in September.
Julie (in full protective
kit) allowed the juniors some target practice. For more pictures
