The Finest in Martial Arts, Self Defence, Savate & Kickboxing
The Academy was established in 1989 by instructors qualified in a variety of martial arts and combat disciplines. We offer high-quality, safe and fun classes in a friendly and appropriately relaxed environment. Our three main training programmes are Integrated fighting arts, Savate and Canne de Combat. You can chose to train in one or all of these programmes. Find out more in The Arts. Our instructors are DBS checked and fully insured. You can find out more about our instructors by visiting the Instructor menu, in About Us.
Personal Training 1 to 1 sessions
As the lockdown has begun to ease, we can now offer 1 to 1 personal training sessions, in accordance with government guidelines. Senior Instructor, Ollie Batts, is available for day-time & weekend personal training sessions adapted to the guidelines. The sessions must take place outdoors, with 1 person, and staying a minimum of 2 metres apart. You can read more about Ollie and private sessions here.

Online Training for CAMA Members
The Academy is now holding regular online training sessions for existing members. The Monday evening session, run by Morgan, is for adult and junior members and covers all aspects of training in Savate, along with flexibility and fitness. The Thursday evening session, run by Ollie, is for adults and more advanced younger members and includes Kali/Escrima and focus mitt-type combinations.
COVID-19 Coronavirus Update
Following communications from St. Bede's School our regular classes are suspended until further notice.
Information from St Bede's:
"Our priority is keeping our students, staff and other stakeholders as safe as we possibly can. As you all know by now, viruses can live on various surfaces for up to 72 hours and we will be simply unable to introduce an additional cleaning regime to ensure all areas are up to the required standard both before and after lettings. This is to protect you as much as us!
"We are so sorry for the inconvenience and any hardship this will cause but we feel the most important thing at the moment is to protect our community and environment as best we can.
"We sincerely hope this will not prove to be a protracted closure."
Dear Members, Parents and Friends,
We wish to assure you all that we are constantly monitoring this situation, and that we will take all appropriate measures necessary to protect our Members, our Instructors, and the local community.
